Terms and Conditions

The Conexus Member Research Panel (“Panel”) is owned and sponsored by Conexus Credit Union (“Conexus”). Conexus has engaged Insightrix Research Inc. (“Insightrix”) to provide the technology platform, research and administrative support, and incentive-payment processing for the Panel.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your registration for and participation in the Panel. They form an agreement between you and Conexus. Insightrix is not the owner or sponsor of the Panel. Insightrix may rely on and enforce the provisions of these Terms that concern its platform, services, intellectual property, privacy and security responsibilities, disclaimers, limitations of liability and indemnification.

By registering for, accessing or participating in the Panel, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not register for or participate in the Panel.

1. Purpose of the Panel

The Panel gives eligible Conexus members opportunities to share feedback through surveys, interviews, discussion groups, online activities and other research. Conexus may use the feedback to understand member needs and improve its products, services, communications, digital experiences, branch experiences and overall member experience.

Participation does not create an ownership, governance, voting, employment, partnership, agency or decision-making relationship with Conexus or Insightrix. Conexus is not required to implement or respond to any feedback you provide.

2. Roles of Conexus and Insightrix

Conexus. Conexus owns and sponsors the Panel. Conexus establishes the Panel’s eligibility rules, research purposes, points and incentive program, membership decisions and program changes. Conexus is responsible for funding the incentives and rewards it offers through the Panel.

Insightrix. Insightrix provides the technology platform and agreed research, administrative and support services to Conexus. Insightrix may host surveys, maintain participant accounts and point records, send communications, provide technical support, conduct or support research, and process Conexus-approved incentive payments on Conexus’ behalf.

Insightrix acts as an independent service provider. Its involvement in recording points or issuing a payment does not make Insightrix the owner, sponsor or independent guarantor of the Panel or its incentive program.

3. Eligibility and Registration

To participate, you must:

  • be a Conexus member and satisfy any additional eligibility requirements communicated for the Panel;
  • be invited or approved to participate;
  • provide accurate, current and complete registration information;
  • maintain only one active Panel account; and
  • agree to these Terms and any activity-specific consent or confidentiality requirements.

Conexus determines Panel eligibility and membership. Insightrix may apply Conexus’ eligibility rules and complete technical validation on Conexus’ behalf. False, duplicate, misleading or fraudulent accounts are prohibited.

4. Voluntary Participation

Participation is voluntary. You may choose whether to participate in any research activity, decline to answer a question, stop an activity or withdraw from the Panel at any time. Participation opportunities vary, and no minimum number of invitations, activities, points, rewards or prize entries is guaranteed.

5. Your Account and Responsibilities

To participate in the Panel, you may be required to complete a registration process and provide certain information, such as your name, contact information, demographic information, member-related information, or other information relevant to research participation. You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information during registration and while participating in the Panel.

You are responsible for keeping your account and contact information current and protecting your login credentials. Notify Panel support https://panel.conexus.ca/contactus promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or another security concern.

You agree to:

  • provide honest, accurate and thoughtful responses and participate in good faith;
  • use the Panel only for authorized research purposes;
  • not create duplicate accounts, share your account or allow another person to participate as you;
  • not manipulate survey results, eligibility, points, incentives, prize draws or Panel records;
  • not forward restricted invitations or confidential materials unless expressly permitted;
  • not use bots, scripts, scraping tools, automated methods or harmful code;
  • not interfere with the operation, security or availability of the Panel or platform;
  • communicate respectfully with Conexus, Insightrix and other participants; and
  • comply with applicable laws, these Terms and activity-specific instructions.

6. Confidentiality

Research activities may include non-public information about Conexus, its products, services, strategies, concepts, communications, technologies, designs or business plans. You must keep that information confidential and must not copy, record, share, publish, post, distribute or otherwise disclose confidential survey content, screenshots, concepts, prototypes, images, videos or materials unless Conexus expressly permits it. This obligation continues after you leave the Panel.

7. Research Activities, Recordings and Feedback

Panel activities may include surveys, polls, discussions, interviews, focus groups, usability testing, concept testing, product testing and other research. An activity may involve audio, video or screen recording, transcription, photography or observation. You will be told in advance when an activity is recorded, and additional consent may be requested.

Conexus may use your feedback for research, analysis, reporting, planning, product and service development, member-experience improvement and related business purposes, as described in the applicable privacy notice or consent materials. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you do not receive ownership or intellectual property rights in products, services, communications or decisions developed using participant feedback.

Conexus is responsible for the business decisions it makes based on Panel feedback. Insightrix does not control or assume responsibility for those decisions.

8. Points, Incentives and Rewards

Conexus may offer points, payments, gift cards, prize-draw entries, charitable donation options or other rewards for particular activities. The activity invitation or Panel website will describe the applicable value, eligibility requirements for the study.

Program responsibility. Conexus establishes, approves and funds the Panel’s points and incentive program. Conexus determines which activities qualify, the number and value of points, redemption thresholds, available reward options, inactivity rules and the circumstances in which an incentive may be corrected, withheld, cancelled or recovered, subject to applicable law.

For activities in which reward points are utilized, each point has a value of CAD $0.10. Panel members must accumulate a minimum of 200 reward points ($20.00 CAD) before points can be redeemed. The sole payment method is e-transfer, which requires a valid email address or cell phone number to process the payment.

Insightrix’s processing role. Insightrix may maintain the points ledger, purchase or issue rewards, and send Conexus-approved payments using its systems or payment accounts. Insightrix performs those functions on Conexus’ behalf as an administrative and disbursement service provider. Issuing a payment does not make Insightrix the sponsor or independent obligor of the points program.

Points and displayed balances:

  • are administrative program records, not money deposited with Insightrix;
  • are not a bank account, stored-value account, trust account or investment;
  • do not earn interest;
  • cannot be transferred, sold or assigned unless the applicable rules expressly permit it; and
  • do not represent a debt independently owed or guaranteed by Insightrix or Conexus.

Routine payment-delivery questions may be handled by Insightrix, but questions about eligibility, point values, program rules or disputed entitlements may be referred to Conexus for decision.

You are responsible for providing accurate payment and contact information and for any personal tax or reporting obligations that may apply to a reward. Neither Conexus nor Insightrix is responsible for a lost, delayed, expired, misdirected or undeliverable reward caused by inaccurate or outdated information supplied by you, except to the extent required by law.

9. Inactivity, Corrections and Account Balances

The Panel may require a minimum point balance before redemption. Applicable thresholds, point values, reward options and inactivity rules are published in this document.

If a panel member has not completed a survey within a 12 month period of time, they are deemed as inactive and are subject to forfeiting their points. Conexus or Insightrix may contact inactive panel members to reactivate their account prior to point deletion.

Conexus may direct that an account or point record be corrected, adjusted, suspended or closed where there is an error, duplicate credit, fraud, misuse, ineligibility or breach of these Terms. Insightrix may correct an obvious technical, clerical or duplicate-processing error and may temporarily delay processing while a security, fraud or payment issue is investigated.

Any expiry or forfeiture of points will be governed by Conexus’ published program rules and applicable law. Where practical, Conexus will provide notice before closing the Panel or materially changing redemption opportunities.

Conexus reserves the right to withhold, cancel, adjust, or recover incentives if it is determined that a participant has violated these Terms and Conditions, provided false information, created duplicate accounts, engaged in fraudulent activity, or otherwise compromised the integrity of the Panel.

10. No Membership Fee

There is no fee to join or participate in the Panel.

You should not respond to any request for payment in connection with joining or participating in the Panel unless you have verified the request directly with Conexus or Insightrix.

11. Electronic Communications

By joining the Panel, you agree to receive communications related to registration, surveys, research activities, reminders, points and rewards, account administration, privacy, security, technical support and changes to these Terms. Communications may be sent by Conexus or by Insightrix acting for Conexus.

You may unsubscribe or withdraw using the link in Panel messages or by contacting Panel support: https://panel.conexus.ca/contactus. Essential account, privacy, security or transaction messages may still be sent where permitted or required by law.

12. Privacy

Personal information collected through the Panel will be handled in accordance with applicable law, Conexus’ privacy policy and Insightrix’s privacy policy.

Conexus determines the purposes for which Panel information is collected and used. Insightrix processes information to provide the platform, research support, incentive administration, technical support, security and related services to Conexus. Each organization remains responsible for personal information under its control and for its own compliance obligations. Conexus and Insightrix maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification, loss, or theft.

Information collected through the Panel may include information provided during registration, profile updates, survey responses, research participation, incentive administration, technical interactions with the Panel platform, and communications with Panel support.

Participant information may be collected and used for purposes that include:

  • Administering the Panel;
  • Conducting research;
  • Selecting participants for research activities;
  • Sending survey and research invitations;
  • Managing incentives and rewards;
  • Analyzing member feedback;
  • Improving Conexus products, services, communications, and experiences;
  • Preparing reports, summaries, and insights;
  • Maintaining Panel integrity, quality, and security; and
  • Meeting legal, regulatory, operational, or compliance requirements.

Participants may request access to their personal information, request corrections to inaccurate information, withdraw their consent to future participation, request deletion of their personal information where applicable, or raise questions or concerns about the handling of their personal information by contacting the Conexus Privacy Office. Withdrawal of consent will apply to future participation and communications and will not affect information previously collected and used for the purposes described in these Terms and Conditions.

Personal information will be retained for as long as you remain a member of the Conexus Member Research Panel, or as otherwise required to administer the Panel and meet legal, regulatory, or operational requirements. When your information is no longer required, Conexus and Insightrix will securely delete, destroy, or anonymize it in accordance with their records retention and privacy practices.

13. Third-Party Services

The Panel may link to or integrate with third-party websites, reward providers, payment services or tools. A third party’s services are governed by its own terms and privacy practices. Neither Conexus nor Insightrix is responsible for a third party’s independent content, systems, security, availability or business practices, except to the extent required by law. Accessing third-party websites or services is at your own risk and may be subject to separate terms and conditions and privacy policies.

14. Intellectual Property and Platform Use

Conexus owns or licenses the Panel name, Conexus trademarks, Conexus-provided research materials and Conexus content. Insightrix owns or licenses its technology platform, software, system architecture, tools, templates, methodologies, know-how and related documentation.

You receive a limited, personal, revocable and non-transferable right to access the Panel solely to participate in authorized research. You must not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, license, reverse engineer, circumvent security controls or create derivative works from Panel content or platform technology unless expressly permitted by law or in writing.

15. Suspension, Termination and Withdrawal

You may withdraw from the Panel at any time. Conexus may suspend or terminate your participation if you no longer meet eligibility requirements, cease to be a Conexus member, breach these Terms, provide inaccurate information, create duplicate accounts, misuse the Panel, engage in fraud or abusive conduct, remain inactive under published rules, or if the Panel is changed or discontinued.

Insightrix may restrict technical access where reasonably necessary to protect the platform, data, security, personnel or other users, or to investigate suspected misuse. Insightrix may also implement a Conexus membership decision.

The treatment of accumulated points following withdrawal or termination will be determined under the applicable published program rules and law. Insightrix is not independently responsible for funding an amount that Conexus has not approved or funded.

16. Changes to the Panel or These Terms

Conexus may modify, suspend or discontinue the Panel or change eligibility, research activities, communications, points, rewards, redemption rules or these Terms. Insightrix may make technical, security and maintenance changes to the platform in accordance with its agreement with Conexus.

Material changes will be communicated through the Panel website, email or another reasonable method where practical. Continued participation after the effective date of updated Terms means you accept them. Changes will not remove rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

In the event this panel ceases to operate, any unredeemed points will be forfeited and carry no cash value. Panel members will be provided with reasonable notice prior to closure of the panel, enabling them to redeem points if they have met the minimum point threshold required for redemption.

17. Disclaimers

The Panel, platform, surveys, content and related services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Conexus and Insightrix disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability and error-free operation.

Neither Conexus nor Insightrix guarantees a minimum number of invitations, the availability of a particular research activity or reward, uninterrupted platform access, or that Conexus will use or act on your feedback.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither Conexus nor Insightrix will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages arising from participation in the Panel, inability to access the platform, lack of invitations, technical interruptions or reliance on Panel content.

Insightrix is not liable for Conexus’ decisions concerning eligibility, points, reward values, program funding, account closure, Panel changes, use of feedback, or products and services. Insightrix is also not liable for the independent acts or failures of a third-party reward or payment provider.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from a party’s fraud, wilful misconduct or breach of a non-excludable legal obligation. Each organization remains responsible for its own acts and omissions to the extent required by law.

19. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Conexus and Insightrix and their respective directors, officers, employees, contractors and service providers against claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable costs arising from your material breach of these Terms, unlawful misuse of the Panel or platform, infringement of another person’s rights, or fraudulent or harmful content or information you submit. This section does not require you to indemnify a party for its own fraud or wilful misconduct.

20. Governing Law and General Terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of Saskatchewan and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of Saskatchewan unless applicable law requires otherwise.

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with incorporated activity-specific notices and consents, constitute the public rules governing participation in the Panel.
